You can fish without a license but all other rules and regulations still apply. Walleye and Perch both seem to be very hard to find since the lake turned over. No boats are trolling in front of the creeks yet either. The tribs are still very low and very warm and there hasn't been any evidence of early staging at the mouths. The Perch seem to be hit and miss. Bass and Walleye anglers continue to try their luck on the Allegheny River, and many bass anglers have reported good hook-ups. Suckers are also easy to catch on fly tackle. The Important change here is that Walnut Creek specifically and effective immediately, is now closed to fishing south of the Manchester Bridge between the hours of 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day through the opening day of Trout Season.
